Our two-week 2026 Dublin Vacation Scheme offers you the unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the life of a commercial lawyer at one of our fastest-growing offices in the region.

During the scheme, you will have the opportunity to experience our practice areas, working with your supervisor and collaborating closely with your team. We’re committed to offering you a genuine taste of life at Dentons, and you’ll be entrusted with real responsibilities to match.

The two-week scheme includes:

• A seat in one of our key practice areas including Corporate, Banking, Property and Disputes Teams
• Interactive Lunch & Learn sessions with our Innovation, Responsible Business, Talent Development, and Pro Bono Teams
• Targeted training sessions designed to deepen your knowledge and understanding of our areas of expertise
• Networking and social events where you can build valuable connections with professionals at various stages of their careers

Our schemes are designed to serve as the initial steps in your professional journey, equipping you with the essential tools for success.

Throughout the scheme, you will establish valuable connections that could be key to building your future career. You will not only work closely with your assigned supervisor and team but also engage with the wider firm through a series of interactive workshops, networking opportunities, and social gatherings, all designed to enhance your professional network and contribute to your growth in the legal field.

By participating in our Dublin Vacation Scheme, you will automatically be assessed for our  Dublin Trainee Solicitor Programme. Your performance over the two-week scheme, together with a final interview where you will have the chance to reflect on your experience, will form the basis of this decision.

From Autumn 2025, our Early Careers team will be on-campus to provide you with an opportunity to learn more about us. We will also be hosting a series of online webinars on a range of skills and topics. We understand that taking time away for a Vacation Scheme can present challenges. That’s why we offer additional support including a competitive salary of €500 per week and offering accommodation and travel cover for eligible candidates.

Our 2026 Dublin Vacation Scheme is open to applicants from all degree disciplines in their penultimate or final year of their undergraduate degree, and to graduates.

We are looking for candidates with:

• Strong academic performance in your Irish Leaving Certificate (at least 480 points) or equivalent post-16 education
• A 2:1 or higher in your undergraduate degree.

These are broad guidelines, and all interested candidates are encouraged to apply. We review every application holistically and consider all aspects of a candidate’s experiences and background.

Scheme Dates

Our 2026 Dublin Summer Vacation Scheme will take place from Monday 8 June – Friday 19 June 2026  in person at our Dublin office.

I really enjoyed the simple everyday interactions with others at the firm. We had numerous opportunities to speak with many different people and everyone was very friendly and inviting. I didn’t come across a single person who didn’t take the time to answer any questions I had and ask me about my aspirations. It was a really successful and helpful environment, and I enjoyed being a part of it.

One of the truly unique things at Dentons, is the access to people. The office’s open-space layout allows you to network with any individual from any background and level of seniority. 

I gained real experience in the world of commercial law, through attending client meetings, drafting and research tasks. I have also gained invaluable networking opportunities with top lawyers in their field as well as with my fellow interns on the vacation scheme.

My favourite thing about my time in Dentons was the variety of work I was given. I conducted research, reviewed documents, listened in on meetings and generally got a greater sense of what commercial law is like.
